Greenwood lost a great philanthropist, friend, and supporter this week. Our hearts are heavy to learn of the passing of Bobby Allison. We send our condolences to the families grieving his loss.
Greenwood has been blessed with support from Bobby Allison. He always asked what we needed and how he could “help the kids.” He was always looking to enrich the lives of all students and he cared about making every single aspect of life better.
Everything he took part in, he did in honor of his mother and her dedication to kids. His legacy, and hers, will live on in the Greenwood community for years to come and we are so grateful for the generosity, kindness, and love he bought to Greenwood to make it the best place for kids to learn and grow.
Thank you, Bobby. Thank you for believing in our mission and supporting our Greenwood families. You are missed.

It is with heavy hearts that we share this news. Jeanne Stinson, beloved former English teacher, passed away peacefully early this morning surrounded by her family. She is pictured with Charles Baird, her brother-in-law and long-time partner-in-crime in Greenwood’s English department. We will post additional information as it becomes available. Please keep her family in your thoughts today. She was one-of-a-kind.
The family is planning a funeral service for Jeanne on Saturday, September 17 at 3:30 pm. Please keep the family in your prayers and thoughts as they grieve the death of their beloved matriarch.

The Bluejay Bodega is a K-5 incentive program in Spanish class that immerses students in the language. Students in 6-8 grade “work” the bodega for civitas discendo hours. Muy bien Bluejays!

It was a successful and fun first week for the Greenwood Girls on the Run team!

Nathan Wu won both of his events setting pool and meet records with his state qualifying 200 IM and 100 butterfly swims. Great job, swimming Jays!
