In 2nd grade social studies, students are learning about different kinds of communities and important jobs within a community. They then created their very own city! Each student chose a job that is important to a city and created a company to represent that occupation. It was an incredible learning opportunity!

Today at Greenwood, current NHS members held an Induction Ceremony to introduce the next group of students into their chapter! NHS, or National Honor Society, is a group of students that exhibit the qualities of service, character, scholarship, and citizenship. We are very proud of all of these students, current and inducted, and continue to be fortunate to have such amazing people walking our halls!

The Greenwood Scholar Bowl Team competed at Diamond in the Class 3 Districts! They won 4 out of 5 matches, and finished in 2nd Place overall. Eleanor Hilotin was named All-District Team. Congratulations to these awesome students!

Matthew Whitworth represented Greenwood this past Saturday at the Mathleague State Finals in Columbia, MO! There were 79 students from 16 schools who competed at the state level. Yesterday, Greenwood International Culture Club (ICC) held a Culture Fair for all students and staff! There were many different countries represented, as well as a variety of cultural groups. Students were able to participate in activities related to each country, as well as try some traditional food.
